I believe that people's emotional health is based upon a variety of factors including their biological make-up, the environment, relationships, and events from their upbringing. People develop beliefs to make their way in the world, and apply these beliefs as they function in their present day to day lives. Problems may result when beliefs that were once useful no longer make sense. Through therapy, it is my job to help people bring these beliefs into consciousness, so that they may then be modified to better fit the present.

I believe that progress and change happen most successfully in the presence of a strong therapeutic relationship. I am an interactive and compassionate listener who likes to use humor and laughter whenever possible to provide down to earth observations and feedback.
